ProjectStudents are starting their free choice projects. Students will have their 20 fact list due on Thursday. Students who work in partners should have a fact list of 40 to present. Students should be working on turning their thesis statements into introductory paragraphs and drafting their rough draft.
Also please work on trying to engage your student in experiential learning opportunities as they work on their project, taking them on field trips and asking them to demonstrate and test their projects and having them becoming immersed in project content. |

We kick off Poetry Month this week! We will be having a class workshop, with Mrs. Tolman's advisory on Wednesday with a real life professional poet. We are excited for Mrs. Marchetto's visit.

Welcome to FRACTIONS! We will be working on 4.NF.3 Express a fraction with denominator 10 as an equivalent fraction with denominator 100, and use this technique to add two fractions with respective denominators 10 and 100.4 For example, express 3/10 as 30/100, and add 3/10 + 4/100 = 34/100.
Students will continue to identify and document different strategies for converting mixed numbers into improper fractions and improper fractions into mixed numbers. Students will also be modeling and demonstrating their understanding of adding and subtracting mixed numbers together.
